Chinese Pregnancy Calendar And The Ancient Art Of Determining Sex
Parents often like to know that if their unborn child is going to be a girl or a boy. There are various methods that are used to determine a child’s sex before birth. The Chinese pregnancy calendar is one such method that is used to determine the gender of the unborn child.
The Chinese pregnancy calendar has been in use from ancient times. Chinese people used this calendar to determine the odds of the child being born as a male or a female. It was also later known as the Chinese conception chart also the Chinese conception calendar. Many people believe that this ancient method is very accurate however clinical studies haven’t been able to verify these claims.
The Chinese pregnancy calendar is a secret. The ancient scientist who developed this chart around 700 years ago believed that it could predict the child’s sex with great accuracy. The prediction is based on two variables i.e. the month of the conception and the age of the mother.
Chinese people believe that the chart is accurate 100%. The original chart was kept in a tomb near Peking, China. You can catch a glimpse of the original chart on display in the Beijing Institute of Science.
Studies have shown that the calendar is around 97% accurate when it comes to predicting gender. The accuracy of the calendar can largely be attributed to the Chinese lunar calendar. The pregnancy calendar is highly dependent on the lunar calendar. The prediction is based on the month the baby is conceived. The mother’s age also plays a vital role in determining the sex. Nine months are added to her age to adjust the calendar.
The month the baby is conceived is listed on the top from January to December. The left column on the calendar is where the mother’s age resides when she conceives.
The following steps are then followed to determine the sex of the unborn baby. The age of the mother is made a note of at the time of conception. Nine months are added to the age to adjust the calendar for better accuracy. The month of the conception is also noted down. Once you have all that you just need to search for the conceived month on the top row of the calendar. You then search by the age on the left end of the chart.
The really simple yet tricky part is to follow both the lines to a point where they intersect. If the points interest at ‘B’ it means it is a boy and if they intersect at ‘G’ it means that it’s a girl.
This is however a really simple way to determining if your baby conceived is either going to be a boy or a girl. Modern methods such as ultrasound can determine the sex of a child during the seventh or eighth month of pregnancy. It is also considered more reliable than following the ancient Chinese pregnancy chart. However if you must know and can’t wait till the seventh or eighth week then the Chinese calendar should be a big help.
