Pregnancy Massage Islington

Islington Rachel Francis

I am a professional massage therapist, and I make it my priority to offer the most professional, passionate and quality prenatal treatments for expectant mothers of any age.

Getting a massage during your pregnancy can help relieve nagging muscle aches that might be lingering due to added weight or to postural changes the body has experienced. Massage can also induce relaxation and help relieve both physical and emotional stress caused by this intense time.

Pregnancy massage is different from regular massages in that you will be lying on your side. In this position, as I am your practitioner I can focus my attention towards the areas that have been causing you stiffness or discomfort. You’ll feel like you’re lying comfortably on your side while I make sure to be extra thorough and offer my professionalism where needed.

“Rachel is really lovely and professional and gives a seriously relaxing and therapeutic massage leaving me floating for days afterwards.”
Daisy, Stoke Newington

About me

I used to get frequent pains in my lower and upper back. Sitting or walking was very painful and uncomfortable – all of which made it difficult to do any work whether it required sitting at a desk all day or a lot of traveling. After seeing plenty of doctors I decided to try out physiotherapy first and then chiropractic, but sadly both methods were a failure and I became desperate until somebody told me that regular massages beat them all hands down if you want to recover quickly from sports injuries or workplace aches.

After giving and receiving a few massages, I decided to become a professional masseuse. Everyone I gave a massage to complimented me on my skills – how I just seemed to know exactly the right amount of pressure to apply at any given moment.

There are many kinds of massages, and for the most part they all start out with a consultation because it’s important to understand where the client is coming from. Massage will always depend on the specific person, so I take special to make sure that I am providing treatment based on your needs rather than my wants.

It’s great when my massage clients leave having enjoyed their time spent with me. I love to be a part of providing them a relaxing and meditative ambiance and being given the pleasure of knowing that I’ve helped relieve their stress fills me with satisfaction.

I hold a qualification from the Massage Training Institute and am fully insured.

“I have tried various physiotherapists and sports therapists over the years and was incredibly impressed by Rachel’s ability to find the exact spots causing me the most bother in no time at all. She has great hands and good listening skills. I only wish she lived a bit closer!”
