For some women, early pregnancy symptoms can be similar to pre-menstrual symptoms (although sometimes they may be more severe). If you’re feeling particularly bad, it’s possible that you’re actually pregnant and just don’t know it yet. Some women experience pregnancy symptoms very soon after conception, while others don’t notice anything until a few weeks into the pregnancy.
One of the classic signs of pregnancy is missing a period or having light spotting instead of a period. If you’re experiencing either of these, it’s a good idea to take a pregnancy test to find out for sure. There are many other reasons why you might miss a period, so it’s always best to consult with your doctor if you’re concerned.
Due to all of the changes your body is going through, you may feel extremely fatigued.
Hormonal changes can cause the swelling of your abdomen and breasts, but they might also be due to changes related to your regular period.
Not every woman experiences the same pregnancy symptoms and some women may not experience any at all – the lucky ones may just have a missed period as their only early pregnancy symptom!
Though the following symptoms may appear later on, they are still early pregnancy symptoms that may help you determine whether or not you are pregnant – which could very well be the most important and blissful period of your life. Remember, however, that every person experiences early pregnancy differently, so these symptoms should not be used as a stand-alone confirmation of your pregnancy.
Implantation bleeding is one of the earliest possible signs of pregnancy. Around eight days after conception, the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall. Some women may experience spotting or light bleeding, as well as some cramping.
Delay/Difference in Menstruation:
A delayed or missed period is often the first sign that a woman is pregnant, prompting her to take a pregnancy test. If you become pregnant, your next period will be missed. However, it’s important to note that many women do bleed while pregnant, but the bleeding is usually shorter or lighter than a normal period.
Experiencing swollen or tender breasts is a common sign of pregnancy that can occur as early as 1-2 weeks post-conception. Women may also notice their breasts feel different and become sensitive to touch, or that they appear larger or heavier than usual.
Early symptoms of depression can be difficult to spot, but one common symptom is fatigue and exhaustion. You may find that you’re tired almost all the time, and you will have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning due to all the changes in your body and the increasing level of hormones. Just try to have at least 15 minutes of nap whenever is possible.
Abdominal bloating
Some women may experience feelings of abdominal bloating or enlargement, but there is usually only a small amount of weight gain in the first trimester, or early stage of pregnancy. In this stage, a weight gain of about one pound per month is typical. Women may also experience mild abdominal cramping during the early weeks of pregnancy, which may feel similar to the cramping that occurs before or during the menstrual period. Cramping is often one sign that the fertilized egg has implanted in the uterus.
