Discover The Stages

Discover The Pregnancy Stages

For soon-to-be mothers, finding out they’re pregnant is one of the most amazing moments of their lives. But as they settle into the initial stages of , they may start to feel anxious about all the changes their body is going through and what the next few months will entail. From hormonal fluctuations to the physical growth of the baby, there are a lot of changes taking place that can be overwhelming for some moms. But don’t worry, we’re here to help! Keep reading to learn more about the different pregnancy stages and what you can expect during each one.

As your pregnancy progresses, your body and your baby will go through a lot of changes. The more you understand about these changes, the more you can enjoy them.

First Pregnancy Stage

During the first trimester of pregnancy, the fetus develops rapidly. In just twelve weeks, it grows from two tiny cells to a seven-centimeter-long fetus with many of its organs (including the heart) in working position. This obviously has a profound effect on the mother’s body. The rising level of hormones at this stage is the main cause of nausea, morning sickness, fatigue and other symptoms during this stage. If the mom is strong enough, she can cope with these changes on her own. A multivitamin pill can be a great help at this stage.

Second Pregnancy Stage

The second stage of pregnancy is when the child grows and develops rapidly. This is also the stage when the baby’s gender can be determined. By the end of this stage, the baby is about 35 centimeters long and weighs more than 1 kilogram. The mother’s body will have changed by this point, and she will need to buy new, maternity clothes that fit her new figure.

Third Pregnancy Stage

The third stage of pregnancy can seem like it’s dragging on forever. By this point, the organs of the baby are developed enough to survive on their own. The average weight of the baby at this stage is around three kilograms, and they’re usually about fifty centimeters long. You might be feeling tired and exhausted again, but this time it’s because you’re carrying the baby. The labor and delivery process is getting close, and your body is getting ready for it.

Carrying a child for nine months can be arduous, but the moment they’re delivered and placed in your arms, all the fatigue dissipates. You’ve been bestowed with a brand-new title, “mother”. Even though the journey was lengthy and challenging, the reward is undoubtedly marvelous.
